Oracle EBS 12.2.8 Step by Step Installation – Part 1

The Multimode Installations the database and application services are different nodes or servers
Before Running Rapidwiiz :
- The should be an X display working to support the GUI installation
- Verify the Sufficient space is available in the /usr/tmp or /tmp directory
- verify the Suficient space is available in the swap space
Installation in Database Server
cd /devdb/R12/startCD/Disk1/rapidwiz
[oracle@devebsdb rapidwiz]$ ./rapidwiz
Rapid Install Wizard is validating your file system……..
CMDDIR=/devdb/R12/startCD/Disk1/rapidwiz
Rapid Install Wizard will now launch the Java interface……
- The first and main Installation screen that will show the list of the tech stack components will be installed in the EBS
Two options available 1. Install Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.0
2. Upgrade to Oracle E-Business Release 12.2.0
We are performing Fresh installation here, so we need to select Option 1. Install Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.0
3. We can skip the option
4. Configuration screen with two options:
- Create a new configuration
2.Load the following saved configuration
Here we are going to fresh installation, so we need to select the Create a new configuration
Global system settings Port Pool file system 1 is 5 and File system 2 is 6
Here Port number is 8005
We to choose the database type (Fresh or Vision) based on selecting “Vision demo database/Fresh database will be installed.” we are installing a fresh database here
Select the Lince type is Component Licensing
License Products here am not select any products
Click the Next Button
Choose the Database Character set AL32UTF8, Then click the next button
Primary applications details are given Hostname, Domain name, Apps Os user, Apps OS group
Application user inform given WLS Admin user name weblogic, uncheck the Change Default Passwords
Validate System Configuration If one or more tests fail, then we should fix them before proceeding with the installation
The setup complted , Then Next click button installa the components
